'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming
Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely think about prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
