I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
