Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
